Han Soon-young, Casting Director, Bridges Cultures in Global Hip-Hop Animated Movie ‘Hiptoons’

Han Soon-young (Shownal Han), the head of the Global Casting Team and casting director at Envy Artists Group, has built an outstanding career by casting world-renowned actors and celebrities for Korean advertising campaigns.
After overcoming numerous challenges, she has secured a solid position in the industry through close collaboration with clients and consistently successful outcomes.
Currently, Han Soon-young is participating as the casting director for the animated feature film ‘Hiptoons,’ produced by the American animation company Compass Media Productions.
‘Hiptoons’ created in the U.S.A., tells the story of a family facing eviction when a plan is hatched by an unlikely source to win money and save the day. 3-D CGI animated animal characters face a series of obstacles as they pursue big dreams and enter a music contest. They prepare for the big day, overcome a sinister plot and ultimately discover the value of friendship, loyalty and love. This animated feature film provides entertainment and a positive message for the entire family.
In this project, Han Soon-young aims to cast top American hip-hop artists while also bringing in talented Korean hip-hop and K-pop musicians, infusing the work with a truly global spirit.
“Hip-hop may have originated in the United States, but music knows no borders. Just as K-pop has achieved global success, I want to showcase the strength and value of Korean hip-hop to the world,” Han stated.
‘Hiptoons’ blends American and Korean hip-hop cultures, delivering messages of dreams, hope, and challenges to young people around the world.

With Han Soon-young’s involvement, ‘Hiptoons’ is expected to become more than just an animated feature film—it is poised to be a symbolic work that connects global music and various cultures.
