IT’S TIME FOR “GOOD NEWS!

In a time where there is still racial tension and conflict, amidst on going political issues; PTtheGospelSpitter is bringing us “Good News!” The International number one charting artist and award winning filmmaker’s new Gospel single is giving us all something we desperately need at this time. The title of his new single is rightfully called “Good News.” We had an opportunity to sit down with PT and get some insight on his new upcoming release.

DJ: “Good News” is a great title. What inspired this title for your upcoming release?

PT: That’s what’s up! I like how we’re jumping right into this! I wrote “Good News” during a period of time when I was going through a transformation. I was letting go of old versions of myself and allowing more of YHWH’s guidance in shaping a new PT. A time for me that said “Good News, YHWH is doing something new in me. Good News, it’s time for a change. Good News, good things are on the horizon!”

DJ: That’s interesting about your perspective. Some people may view change as disheartening or difficult. Why did you view this as “Good News?”

PT: I’ve always viewed it as a positive when I’m able to reflect on myself and discard thinking or things that no longer serve my greatest good. Especially when it is being inspired by my faith or what some may call their higher self.

DJ: I like that answer, you made it applicable to all. Was that the goal of this new release? To make it apply to all types of people.

PT:  I didn’t really have a goal in mind when I was writing this song, singing it on the rec yard or ultimately recording it. The song just flowed not too long after I completed a Bible study and some meditation time. If I had to pinpoint a goal for this release, it would be that I’m prayerful the flow and vibe of the song is something that will resonate with all types of people.

DJ: What then is one thing you want people to take away from “Good News?”

PT: That it is time for “Good News!” That message is three fold. It’s time to allow the Gospel into your life, it’s time to build for eternal life and it’s time for the new thing to be done in everyone’s life.

“Good News” provides us with a universal message of love and guidance.  We, just like PT, can be inspired by the “Good News” and seek to transform into our higher self.  As the lyrics impart, “Graced by the lighted way”, we can make an admirable attempt to take an empowered journey toward a more enlightened version of ourselves.
